Shopping Cart

Review your selected items, modify quantities, and manage your order before proceeding to checkout.

Viewing Your Cart

Step 1: Click the cart icon in the header to view your items

Cart Display

Your cart shows:

  • Item name and quantity
  • Selected options (size, add-ons)
  • Individual item price
  • Running subtotal
  • Service type indicator

Adding Items to Cart

Step 1: Browse the menu and click on an item

Step 2: Select your customizations

Step 3: Click Add to Cart

Step 4: The cart icon updates with item count and toast notification confirms

Modifying Cart Items

Changing Quantity

Step 1: Find the item in your cart

Step 2: Click the + button to increase quantity

Increase Quantity

Step 3: Click the - button to decrease quantity

Step 4: Setting quantity to 0 removes the item

Editing an Item

Step 1: Click Edit on the item you want to modify

Step 2: The product popup opens with your current selections

Step 3: Change options, add-ons, or special instructions

Step 4: Click Update to save changes

Removing an Item

Step 1: Click the trash icon or remove button on the item

Step 2: The item is removed from your cart

Step 3: Cart total updates automatically

Cart Summary

The cart displays a breakdown of your order:

Proceeding to Checkout

Step 1: Review all items in your cart

Step 2: Verify the total amount

Step 3: Click Go to Checkout or Checkout

Minimum Order Requirements

If the restaurant has a minimum order amount:

  • Warning shown if below minimum
  • Message displays: "Add €X more to checkout"
  • Checkout button disabled until minimum met
  • Different minimums may apply for delivery vs. pickup

Cart Persistence

Your cart is saved automatically:

  • Survives page refreshes
  • Saved in browser storage
  • Cleared after successful order
  • Expires after 24 hours of inactivity

Service Type Changes

If you change service type (e.g., delivery to pickup):

Step 1: Cart items are preserved

Step 2: Prices update for the new service type

Step 3: Delivery fee removed or added accordingly

Step 4: Item availability rechecked

Multiple Item Orders

When ordering multiple items:

  • Each item listed separately
  • Same item with different options shown as separate lines
  • Quantity applies per variation
  • Easy to identify each selection

Troubleshooting

Cart Empty After Refresh
