How to Split a Bill

Quick guide to splitting the bill when dining with a group

How to Split a Bill

Split the restaurant bill among your group in 3 easy ways.

Split bill is available for Dine-In orders placed via QR ordering. Each person pays from their own phone.

Option 1: Pay for Your Items

Best for groups where everyone ordered different dishes.

Scan the QR Code

Scan the table QR code with your phone and tap Pay.

Select Your Items

Tap each item you ordered. Selected items are locked so no one else can claim them.

Add Tip and Pay

Add an optional tip and complete payment with your card or mobile wallet.

Result: Only your selected items are charged. Others pay for their items separately on their own phones.

Option 2: Divide Equally

Best for groups sharing dishes or wanting simplicity.

Set Number of People

Enter the total number of people splitting (e.g., 4).

Select Your Shares

Choose how many shares you're paying — 1 for yourself, or 2 if you're covering a friend.

Example: €80 bill ÷ 4 people = €20 each.

Option 3: Pay Remaining Balance

Best when one person covers what's left after others have paid.

Wait for Others to Pay

After other group members have paid their portions via Option 1 or 2.

Scan and Tap Pay

The remaining balance is calculated and shown automatically.

Add Tip and Pay

Complete payment for the remaining amount.

How It Works Behind the Scenes

  • Real-time sync: Everyone sees paid/unpaid status instantly on their phone
  • Item locking: When you select an item, it's locked — others can't select it
  • Multiple payments: The bill can be split into as many portions as needed
  • Individual tips: Each person adds their own tip amount
  • Payment confirmation: Each person gets their own receipt

The last person to pay should use Option 3 (Pay Remaining) to ensure the full bill is covered, including any rounding differences.
