Managing Orders
Learn how to mark items as ready, complete orders, and manage your kitchen workflow.
Basic Actions
Mark Item Ready
Tap an individual item to mark it as prepared. The item will show a checkmark.
Bump Order (Complete)
When all items are ready, tap the Bump button or swipe the order card to remove it from the screen.
Recall Order
Accidentally bumped an order? Tap the Recall button to bring back recently completed orders.
Order Workflow
New Order → In Progress → Ready → Bumped

- Order arrives - Appears on screen with audio alert
- Start cooking - Tap order to acknowledge (optional)
- Mark items done - Tap each item as you complete it
- Bump when ready - Remove from screen, notifies front-of-house
Partial Orders
For large orders, you can mark items ready as they're completed:
- Tap individual items to mark them done
- Front-of-house sees which items are ready
- They can serve partial orders or wait for all items
- Bump the order when the last item is complete
Priority Orders
Rush Orders
Orders marked as "Rush" appear with a special indicator. Prioritize these.
VIP Orders
VIP customer orders may be highlighted. Check with management for handling.
Multi-Station Workflow
When using multiple kitchen stations:
- Each station sees only their items
- Mark your station's items ready when done
- Order auto-bumps when ALL stations complete their items
- Station progress is visible to all stations
Keyboard Shortcuts
If using a keyboard:

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Can't bump order | Check all items are marked ready |
| Order stuck | Refresh page, or check for connection issues |
| Wrong item marked | Tap again to unmark, or recall if bumped |
| Orders backing up | Check if sound alerts are on, orders may be missed |
