Configure display preferences and behavior
Customize your Kitchen Display to match your workflow.
Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of the KDS screen.

| Font Size | Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large |
| Card Size | Compact, Normal, Large |
| Columns | Auto, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 |
| Setting | Purpose |
|---|
| New Order | Color for fresh orders |
| Warning | Color when order exceeds time limit |
| Urgent | Color for overdue orders |
| Complete | Color for ready orders |
| Setting | Default | Description |

| Warning time | 10 min | Order turns yellow |
| Urgent time | 15 min | Order turns red |

Adjust using the slider or device volume buttons.
- Go to Settings → Station
- Choose your station from the list
- Only items assigned to this station will show

| Show all items | See entire order (your items highlighted) |
| Show only my items | See only items for your station |
| Auto-bump | Bump when your items done (if multi-station) |
| Setting | Description |

| Sort by | Time (oldest first), Priority, Order number |
| Show completed | Show bumped orders for X minutes |
| Auto-refresh | Reload page every X minutes (optional) |

| Confirm bump | Ask before bumping orders |
| Swipe to bump | Enable swipe gestures |
| Long-press actions | Enable context menu on long press |

| High Contrast | Increase color contrast |
| Large Touch Targets | Bigger buttons for easier tapping |
| Screen Reader | Enable voice reading of orders |
| Reduce Motion | Disable animations |
To restore defaults:
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to bottom
- Tap Reset to Defaults
- Confirm the reset
| Problem | Solution |
|---|
| Settings not saving | Check browser allows cookies |
| No sound | Check device volume, browser permissions |
| Settings reset on refresh | Enable cookies for KDS domain |
| Can't find setting | Use search in settings menu |
