Enabling Accessibility Mode

From Kiosk

  1. Look for Accessibility icon (wheelchair symbol)
  2. Tap to open accessibility menu
  3. Enable desired features
  4. Settings persist for session

From Admin

  1. Go to Partner Portal → Kiosk Settings
  2. Set default accessibility options
  3. Enable/disable features globally

Screen Reader Support

Compatible with:

  • iOS: VoiceOver
  • Android: TalkBack
  • Windows: Narrator, NVDA

How It Works

  • All buttons have text labels
  • Images have alt text
  • Menu items read name + price
  • Focus order is logical

Height Considerations

For wheelchair users:

Hardware Placement

  • Screen at 48" max height
  • Payment terminal reachable
  • Card slot accessible
  • Receipt printer at lower height

On-Screen

  • Important buttons in reachable area
  • Avoid bottom corners
  • Scrollable content if needed

Timeout Extensions

Standard timeout: 5 minutes

Accessibility mode:

  • Extended to 10-15 minutes
  • Clear warning before timeout
  • Easy "need more time" button
