Calendar

The Calendar provides a single place to see all your orders, reservations, and other events in month or week view. Use it for planning, spotting busy periods, and quick navigation to details.

Calendar Overview

Accessing the Calendar

Step 1: In the sidebar under Operations, click Calendar.

Step 2: The calendar loads with today's or the current period's data.

Switching Between Views

Month View

  • See an at-a-glance monthly overview.
  • Days with activity are highlighted with counts or colors.
  • Click any day to drill into details or switch to week view.

Week View

  • Detailed day-by-day or time-slotted view for the selected week.
  • Better for seeing exact timings of orders and bookings.

Step 1: Use the view toggle (Month / Week) at the top of the calendar.

Step 2: Use the date navigator to move between periods.

Filtering What You See

Use the filters panel (usually on the side or top) to focus on what matters:

  • Order types: Delivery, Pickup, Dine-in (including catering flags)
  • Reservations
  • Events (if applicable)
  • Status filters
  • Search or date range

Filters update the calendar counts and the details panel in real time.

Viewing Details

Step 1: Click a day (month view) or a specific item/time slot (week view).

Step 2: A details panel or list opens showing:

  • Order or reservation summary
  • Customer info
  • Time / value
  • Quick actions (view full order, confirm reservation, etc.)

Step 3: From the details you can usually jump directly to the full Orders or Reservations page for that item.

Common Use Cases

  • Capacity planning: Spot overlapping reservations + large dine-in orders.
  • Staffing: Identify peak days before publishing shifts.
  • Day-to-day ops: Quickly find today's deliveries or upcoming bookings without leaving the overview.

Best Practices

  • Use filters aggressively — the unfiltered view can be busy on high-volume days.
  • Check the calendar at the start of each shift or during prep.
  • Combine with the main Dashboard for KPIs and the Orders/Reservations lists for action.

Note: Exact UI labels, colors, and available filters may vary slightly by your shop configuration and role permissions. The calendar requires SHOP_ORDER_ACCESS (or equivalent admin permission).
