Orders sync instantly across all devices — POS, KDS, and customer apps. No manual refresh needed.
How It Works
- Order placed at POS, website, QR code, or delivery platform
- Instantly appears on all connected kitchen displays
- Updates sync — marking items ready or bumping is reflected everywhere in real-time
- Status changes are visible to front-of-house, kitchen, and customer simultaneously
What Syncs in Real-Time

Connection Status
The header bar shows your connection status:
| Indicator | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green dot | Connected — real-time updates active |
| Yellow dot | Reconnecting — temporary interruption, usually resolves in seconds |
| Red dot | Disconnected — orders may be delayed until connection restores |
If you see a red dot for more than 30 seconds, check your WiFi. Orders placed during disconnection will appear once you're back online, but kitchen timing may be affected.
Offline Behavior
If the internet connection is lost:
- Existing orders remain visible on screen — keep working on them
- New orders queue on the server and appear when reconnected
- Your actions queue locally (bumps, marks) and sync when back online
- Auto-reconnect attempts every few seconds — no manual action needed
The KDS is designed to recover gracefully. When connection restores, all queued orders and actions sync automatically. You won't lose any work.
Multi-Location
Each restaurant location has its own order stream:
- Orders only appear for the logged-in location
- Staff at Location A never see Location B orders
- Multi-location managers can switch locations in Settings
Sync Speed

For best performance, use a stable WiFi connection. Avoid placing the router too far from the kitchen — walls and kitchen equipment can weaken the signal.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Orders delayed | Check WiFi connection, try refreshing the page |
| Connection keeps dropping | Check router stability — kitchen heat/steam can affect some routers |
| Red connection indicator | Verify internet is working on another device, try restarting the browser |
| Syncing with wrong location | Log out and log back in, selecting the correct location |
| Orders appear out of order | Refresh the page to re-sort. Check sort settings |
Force Refresh
If orders seem out of sync:
- Refresh the browser page (pull down on mobile, or press
F5on keyboard) - Wait for the full reload to complete
- Verify the connection indicator is green
- If issues persist, contact Fleksa support
