Order Card Layout
Each order appears as a card on the screen. Here's what each element means:
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Order Number | Unique ID (e.g., #1234) — matches the receipt |
| Order Type | Icon showing Dine-in, Takeaway, Delivery, or QR Order |
| Table Number | For dine-in orders — helps runners find the right table |
| Timer | Time since the order was placed — changes color as time increases |
| Items | List of items to prepare with quantities |
| Special Notes | Customer modifications, allergies, or special requests |
Always check Special Notes before preparing. Allergy information and dietary requests appear here. Missing these can cause serious issues.
Order Colors
Orders are color-coded by how long they've been waiting:
| Color | Meaning | Action |
|---|---|---|
| White/Blue | New order, just arrived | Start preparing |
| Yellow | Exceeds warning time (default 10 min) | Speed up preparation |
| Red | Overdue (default 15 min) | Prioritize immediately |
| Green | Completed, ready for pickup | Bump to clear from screen |
Time thresholds are configurable in Settings.
