Mounting Options

Wall Mount

  • Use VESA mount for monitors/TVs
  • Position at eye level for standing staff
  • Avoid direct heat or steam exposure
  • Run power cable along the wall for a clean setup

Counter Stand

  • Tablet stands work well for smaller displays
  • Consider anti-theft mount for high-traffic areas
  • Angle the screen for easy viewing and touching

Arm Mount

  • Adjustable viewing angle — swing out of the way when needed
  • Good for tight kitchen spaces
  • Mount to wall, shelf, or counter edge

Power Management

Keep the Screen On

  • Disable auto-sleep in the device's system settings
  • Use a "keep screen on" app if the device doesn't support disabling sleep
  • Always connect to power — don't rely on battery during service

Handling Power Outages

  • KDS auto-reconnects when power returns
  • Queued orders sync automatically
  • Consider a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) for critical operations

Running Multiple Devices

Log in to each device with the same restaurant credentials

All devices use the same account but can show different stations.
