Configure POS app settings and preferences
Settings
The Settings screen provides access to all POS configuration options. Customize the app to fit your restaurant's workflow.
Accessing Settings
Step 1: Tap the Settings icon (gear) in the left sidebar
Step 2: The settings menu appears with all options
Step 3: Tap any category to configure
Settings Categories

General Settings
Basic app configuration:
- Shop Selection - Choose active restaurant location
- Currency Display - How prices show
- Tax Calculation - Inclusive or exclusive
- Order Confirmation - Skip or show popup
Printer Settings
Configure your printers:
Step 1: Tap Printer Settings
Step 2: Select printer type (Receipt, Kitchen, etc.)
Step 3: Configure connection (USB, WiFi, Bluetooth)

Terminal Settings
Payment terminal configuration:
Step 1: Tap Terminal Settings
Step 2: Select provider (Stripe, Mollie)
Step 3: Pair your card reader
Step 4: Test with a small transaction
Device Settings
Configure this specific device:
- Device Name - Identify this terminal
- Screen Timeout - Auto-lock timing
- App Lock - PIN protection
- Clear Cache - Free up storage

System Settings
App-wide preferences:

Account Settings
Your personal settings:
- Profile - Name and contact info
- Change Password - Update login credentials
- Logout - Sign out of this device
Logging Out
Step 1: Go to Settings > Account
Step 2: Tap Logout
Step 3: Confirm to sign out
The device stays paired for easy re-login.
Permission-Based Access
Settings visibility depends on your role:

Some settings require manager or owner permissions.
Quick Settings
Access common settings quickly:
- Availability - Open/close services from top bar
- Staff Switch - Change active user from dropdown
- Sync - Force sync from top icons
Backup and Restore
Your settings sync to the cloud:
- Configuration saved automatically
- New devices inherit settings
- Restore after reinstall
Best Practices
Initial Setup:
- Configure printers first
- Set up payment terminal
- Customize display preferences
- Test all connections
Ongoing:
- Review settings periodically
- Update after menu changes
- Check printer connections daily
- Clear cache if app slows down
Troubleshooting
Settings Not Saving:
- Check internet connection
- Wait for sync to complete
- Restart the app
- Re-enter settings
Missing Options:
- Check your user permissions
- Contact manager for access
- Verify correct shop selected
