Menu Access

The POS menu interface lets you quickly browse products, add items to orders, and manage the cart.

Menu Layout

The menu screen is divided into three sections:

1. Top Bar - Search, sync status, table info, and cart total
2. Left Side - Category tiles and product grid
3. Right Side - Cart summary and action buttons

Browsing Categories

Step 1: Categories appear as colored tiles at the top of the menu

Step 2: Each tile shows:

• Category name
• Number of products in that category

Step 3: Tap a category to see its products

Common categories include:

• Wraps, Pizza, Burgers
• Breakfast, Desserts
• Beverages, Specials

Viewing Products

After selecting a category:

Step 1: Products display in a grid below the categories

Step 2: Each product card shows:

• Product name
• Price
• Selection indicator (checkmark when added)

Step 3: Tap any product to add it to the order

Adding Items to Cart

Step 1: Tap a product from the grid

Step 2: If the product has variants or add-ons, a popup appears

Step 3: Select any required options (size, extras, etc.)

Step 4: Tap Add to Cart or the checkmark

The item appears in your cart on the right side.

Viewing Cart

Your current order displays on the right:

• Product name with any selected options
• Quantity with +/- buttons to adjust
• Item price and total
• Course number for multi-course orders

The cart updates in real-time as you add or modify items.

Quick Actions

The bottom-right panel provides quick actions:

The number pad allows quick product lookup by item number.

Searching Products

Step 1: Tap the search field at the top ("Enter product name or number")

Step 2: Type the product name or item number

Step 3: Results filter in real-time

Step 4: Tap the product to add it

This is faster than browsing categories for repeat orders.

Modifying Cart Items

To change an item already in cart:

Step 1: Tap the item in the cart

Step 2: Adjust quantity using +/- buttons

Step 3: To remove, reduce quantity to 0 or swipe to delete

Product with Options

Some products require choices:

• Size - Small, Medium, Large
• Add-ons - Extra toppings, sides
• Choices - Preparation style, spice level

Select all required options before the item can be added.

Beverages Category

The beverages category typically includes:

• Soft drinks with size options
• Bottled drinks
• Hot beverages
• Specialty drinks

Each shows the price clearly for quick ordering.

Order Created

Once items are added and you're ready:

Step 1: Review the cart summary

Step 2: Tap Pay to proceed to checkout, or

Step 3: Tap KT Print to send to kitchen first

The order is saved and can be completed later if needed.

Tips for Fast Service

• Learn item numbers - Use the numpad for frequent items
• Use search - Faster than browsing for specific products
• Group by course - Add appetizers first, then mains
• Check the total - Verify before sending to kitchen
